The Ei603RF Alarm is activated by heat from a fire, not smoke, which makes it ideal for kitchen installations and other areas where there is normally some level of smoke or fumes and where smoke Alarms may be subjected to false alarms.
The Ei603RF is powered by a 10 year sealed Lithium battery. The Alarm automatically monitors the battery every 40 seconds. If it is depleted it will give a short beep every 40 seconds.
The Ei603RF must be interconnected to Ei Electronics battery operated smoke Alarms located along the escape routes to ensure sufficient warning is given to all the occupants. It communicates wirelessly via its preinstalled Ei600MRF RadioLINK+ module . Up to 12 devices can be interconnected.
If the battery powered Alarms are interconnected wirelessly, then they must be house coded as a system to prevent communication with other nearby RadioLINK systems.
The Alarm is supplied with an easy to fit twist-on base to facilitate quick and simple installation, combined with easy detector head removal and replacement.
The large Test button allows the user to check the operation of the Alarm. This will check the sensor, sounder, battery voltage and internal circuitry.
