Ei103R Low Voltage Heat Alarm

The Ei103R is a Heat Alarm designed to connect to a panel for its low voltage power supply (10.2 – 14V DC).  This Alarm is fitted with volt free relay contacts that can be used to switch an external device.  It is best suited for kitchens and garages.

Heat Alarms are designed for use in areas where optical or ionisation smoke Alarms would be susceptible to nuisance alarms.

The Ei103R Heat Alarm is designed to connect to a panel for its low voltage power supply (10.2-14V DC) but also as a trigger via a built in relay. When a high temperature is detected ( 58°C ± 4°C), the horn will sound and the relay will switch.  

The Ei103R may operate as a standalone Alarm or may be hardwire interconnected  to other Ei low voltage Alarms from the same range.  In an interconnected system, an Alarm sensing fire will cause all others to alarm and switch contact (depending on installation configuration). Up to 12 Alarms from the same range can be interconnected.

The Test button allows the user to check the operation of the Alarm.  This will check the sounder, internal circuitry and relay.  When the Test button is pressed, the horn will sound within 10 seconds and the relay contacts will change over about 4 seconds after the horn sounds.  All interconnected Alarms should sound within 10 seconds.  When the button is released, the horn will stop sounding and the relay contacts will change back 4 seconds later.
