Ei Electronics Shortlisted for two Major Awards in the Mid-West

Limerick & Ennis Chamber have selected the company to be shortlisted in their upcoming Business Awards

Since becoming a wholly owned Irish company in 1988, the company has gone from strength to strength in becoming a market leader in fire and gas detection – dispelling the myth that you cannot be successful is keeping 100% of manufacturing in Ireland.

This week saw Ei being shortlisted for Best Large Business: Contribution to the Region Award through Limerick Chamber and the Leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility Award in Ennis Chambers’ Clare Business Excellence Awards.

Sponsored by Essilor, the Leadership in CSR Award by Ennis Chamber recognises businesses that set the standard in terms of their responsibility to the environment, consumers, employees, local communities and/or other stakeholders in the public sphere with a view to celebrating the positive impact of business on the local communities in County Clare.

The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards will award The Best Large Business of the Year award to an organisation, trading for more than 3 years in the Mid- West Region, that is striving to create world class products and services, setting the highest benchmarks and optimising opportunities in their market place. Sponsored by Holmes, O’Malley Sexton Solicitors, the judges will be looking at evidence of innovation, viability, growth/development within Ei as well as our contribution to the region.

We are extremely honoured to be in the running amongst other leading companies in the Mid-West region such as Analog Devices, the Savoy Hotel and TTM. Our long history of employee commitment and community involvement has brought us to where we are today. This news is a tribute to their success within the company and the unique culture we have kept throughout our history in our Shannon Campus.

An integral part of our heritage and operations in Shannon are our CSR activities. Our team has already been involved and contributed to a range of range of local causes and events this year. Some of our larger sponsorship projects in the Mid-West in recent years has been the development of the Milford Care Centre, an employee 400K Charity cycle raising over €20,000, the Shannon Aviation Museum (2019) and Clare Youth Service (2019-2021).

This news comes just as we are about to break ground on expanding our current operations in Shannon, doubling our manufacturing capacity for 2021 and our wide range of CSR activities within the region continue to strive forward. We would like to wish the very best of luck and congratulations to all shortlisted companies throughout the categories.
